Carignan is the South Shore's wide open version: a town of about 62 square kilometres that wraps around Chambly like a horseshoe, with neighbourhoods scattered like little islands among the fields, two rivers, and the Chambly basin just minutes away. Around 12,000 people live here, and the growth of the last few years says it all: families looking for room to breathe without moving far have found their address. My home base is in Verdun, but I regularly work with buyers and sellers on this side of the river, and Carignan is one of the towns that surprises my clients the most when I bring them for a visit.
I put this top 11 together for a simple reason: when you buy or sell, you're not just shopping for a property, you're shopping for a neighbourhood life. Each point comes with an opening for a conversation. Use it.
