The most populous neighbourhood in the whole city
With 101,622 residents at the 2011 census, Chomedey alone accounts for nearly a quarter of Laval's population, spread across roughly 48 square kilometres and four different postal codes. That makes for a very mixed housing stock: 1960s bungalows and duplexes, newer cottages, and waterfront towers like Domaine Bellerive and Le Maritime. Laval's city hall, at Place du Souvenir, sits right in the neighbourhood too.
