Roots that go back to 1686
Around 1686, the Sulpician priest François-Saturnin Lascaris d'Urfé founded the Saint-Louis-du-Bout-de-l'Île mission here, among the oldest roots in the West Island. The city itself was incorporated in 1911. And you can still feel it: along Lakeshore Road, ancestral homes carry stories that few Montreal areas can tell.
