Who is responsible for your information

The person in charge of the protection of personal information for this site is Maxime Laforest, residential and commercial real estate broker with RE/MAX Dynamique inc. (Équipe Loiselle).

What information is collected, and when

You can browse the entire site without providing any information. Data is collected only if you fill out one of these four forms:

• Guide request: your first name and email, so I can send you the guide you asked for.
• "My real estate project" and "Free evaluation" (the same page, depending on the button you used): your name, your phone number, your email, your city or area, your timeline, the type of project and, if you ask for an evaluation, the address of the property to be evaluated.
• Request for information about a listing: your contact details and the property you are interested in.
• "According to you", the short interactive quiz: your first name, your phone number or your email, and your answers to the three questions (how you read the market, where you stand, what is holding you back).

No account to create. While you browse, the only thing recorded is the list of pages you view, by the visit pixel described below, and only if you accept it.

Why this information is used

Solely to get back to you: send the guide you requested, answer your question about a listing, and follow up on your real estate project. If you receive an email from me, it is because you asked for it through one of these forms.

Your information is never used for targeted advertising and is never sold or rented to anyone.

Where your information goes

What you send through a form travels a short path, and here it is in full:

• The site's server, rented from Hetzner and located in the United States, in Oregon: it receives the content of the form and passes it on to my CRM right away.
• Follow Up Boss, my client management tool (CRM), an American company: it records your first name, your email, your phone number if you gave one, the guide or the property you are interested in, the address you submit for an evaluation, the area, your timeline, your answers to the "According to you" quiz and the description of your project. That is where I do my follow-up.
• Google, which hosts my work mailbox: if you write to me or if I reply to you, the message goes through it and stays there.

Your information is therefore kept outside Quebec, in the United States, and subject to the laws of that country. The exchanges between your browser, the site and the CRM are encrypted (HTTPS) and access to these tools is password protected. I promise nothing beyond that: I have no control over these companies' own servers.

Maxime's assistant (conversational assistant)

This website offers an automated conversational assistant, "Maxime's assistant". It answers your questions about Maxime Laforest's services and real estate from a closed information base. It is not Maxime answering you, and the assistant gives no opinion on the value of a property and no personalized legal, tax or financial advice.

Provider. To produce its answers, the text of your conversation is sent to Anthropic, PBC (United States), the provider of the artificial intelligence model. Anthropic processes this text to generate the answer, under its own terms of use and privacy policy. Your data may therefore be processed outside Quebec and Canada.

What the website keeps. The website does not keep the text of your conversations. It only keeps technical metadata (date, page visited, language, number of messages, volume of tokens processed, duration, tool used) for 30 days, for the proper operation of the service and cost monitoring. Your browser keeps the conversation history only for the duration of your visit. To limit abuse, the website counts messages per visitor using a random identifier stored in your browser (not linked to your identity) and your IP address, kept under the same conditions.

Your contact details. The assistant does not collect contact details within the conversation. If you would like Maxime to call you back, to receive your question, or to receive a guide, a form asks for your first name, email or phone number, with a consent checkbox. Only with this consent are these details, together with a short summary of your request, transmitted to Follow Up Boss, the client management system used by Maxime Laforest, for the purpose of contacting you. You may request access to, correction or deletion of this information by writing to maxime@equipeloiselle.com.

How to avoid the assistant. The assistant only activates when you write to it. To avoid it, simply do not use it: all the information and forms on the website remain available without it, and you can reach Maxime directly at 438 799-5649 or maxime@equipeloiselle.com.

Cookies and the services loaded with the page

Depending on the page you open, your browser fetches elements from four outside services. None of them is used for advertising, but each one then sees your IP address, as with any web page load.

• Follow Up Boss, the visit pixel of my CRM, present on every page of the site: a small script records the pages you view and places two cookies on your device so it can recognize your browser from one visit to the next. If you have already written to me through a form, those visits can be attached to your record. It helps me know what interests you before I call you back, nothing more. It stays off until you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your mind at any time: Change my choice.
• Calendly, the booking module, on the home page only: it loads with the page and places its own technical cookie, even if you book nothing. If you do book a call, the name, email and time slot you enter are processed by Calendly, in the United States, under its own terms.
• Google, for the typefaces, on every page: they are loaded by your browser from Google's servers.
• e-closion, the web provider that hosts the team's listings, on the home page: the property photos shown there come from its servers.

There is nothing else: no Google Analytics or equivalent, no Facebook or Google Ads pixel, no recording of your clicks or your screen. The traffic statistics I look at come from the technical logs of my own server.

How long your information is kept

Your information is kept for as long as it takes to answer your request and follow up on your project. If I do not hear from you, your file is deleted or anonymized after a reasonable period, and no later than three years after our last exchange. Documents tied to a completed transaction must however be kept longer, in accordance with Quebec real estate brokerage rules.

Your rights (Law 25)

Under Quebec's private-sector privacy law, you may at any time:

• Access the information I hold about you and obtain a copy;
• Have corrected any information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• Withdraw your consent and ask that your information be deleted;
• File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca) if you believe your rights have not been respected.

Updates to this policy
